The Benefits of Astrology
Astrology will lead you toward great CONSCIOUSNESS and AWARENESS about yourself, your life, the meaning of your relationships and what you experience. It can point out your personality, preferences, aptitudes, motivations, psychological make up, emotional maturity, potential for a relationship, capacity for faithfulness, tendency to be fickle or sexual appetite. It also helps you tremendously with understanding your place in the Universe and the true nature of your soul.
Pay attention to the Danger!
Astrology has so many benefits. However, astrology is a language that uses symbols (in the form of signs, planets, houses, asteroids etc). Astrologers have to INTERPRET these symbols.
Due to the fact that much astrology documents and books have been lost to antiquity, and that some translations may contain serious misunderstandings, while offering an interpretation to a client or to yourself it is dangerous to stick to facts and books.
For example, it is completely unethical and wrong to say that “Because your Venus is in your 12th House, you are doomed to suffer in love all your life”, just because you have learned from some book that Venus in the 12th House may express this way.
Good interpretation looks like this
A good interpretation of the astrological symbols is a combination of the following :
1. Good basic knowledge of astrological archetypes and their basic meaning
2. Your own intuition and inner guidance, common sense, life experience
3. An approach that is adapted to our present society (life thousands of years in the past was different from our present days, so old interpretations that were accurate in the past will most likely fail nowadays)
Astrologers should illuminate the possible results, benefits and costs of your decisions or ways to deal with a situation, but they should NEVER TELL YOU WHAT TO DO.
Astrology is not magic! You need to take action!
Astrology is not magic that shows you who to marry and what to have for lunch today. It cannot tell you to break up with your boyfriend or stay with him because he is your “destiny”.
However, astrology can show you what energies surround your present condition and your relationships. It can show you deep aspects of your personality, your true needs or your partner's needs. It can make you become more AWARE of yourself, of your relationship or the way you generally behave when in a relationship and so on.
This knowledge is a tremendous help in making decisions, because it helps you realize what you truly need or what someone needs from you. But YOU need to decide what to do. The responsibility it’s all yours.
Astrology can lighten up the darkness, but it is still better to listen to your heart and intuition!
Only because an astrologer may say that you have a tense relationship with your boyfriend, this does NOT mean you have to break up with him. You have to listen to your own intuition and make that decision by yourself. You are your best guide. If you want to do something but your astrologer says “that may not be a good decision”, it is still better to follow your heart. There is a GIFT you will get by listening to your heart and taking action. Even if the result will be only a heartbreak, there is more than it meets the eye. You need to trust your intuition, and trust that everything is unfolding the way it should.
